Visit our impressive spider monkey sanctuary with a population of over 30. Spider monkeys are quite curious and fond of tourists. They will happily accept bananas from visitors and make for a wonderful experience.

We highly recommend taking our Kayak tour with a guide who will take you through the beautiful canals of the bay, where you can appreciate an exotic variety of mangroves. If you’re lucky you’ll spot a crocodile in its natural habitat. The bird watching on this tour is magical. You’ll get to immerse yourself in the wonders Jiquilisco Bay has to offer. The tours vary from 30 minutes up to 2 hours (depending on your physical condition or fitness level). These tours are tailored to you.

Learn about the farming practices when it comes to fine grain cacao, the importance of agroforestry, permaculture and nature conservation. Depending on the tree production during the time of your visit, you will have the opportunity to view the cacao fruit, taste the fruit fresh from the tree. We end the experience tasting the cacao fruit pulp and bits of the cacao.
Walking Tour of the Cacao Plantation

Enjoy a tour of the entire property and get a workout in at the same time. Explore the surrounding sugar cane plantations as you head over to San Jose Real de la Carrera’s Cacao plantation. Learn about the farming practices when it comes to fine grain cacao, the importance of agroforestry, permaculture and nature conservation. Depending on the tree production during the time of your visit, you will have the opportunity to view the cacao fruit, taste the fruit fresh from the tree. We end the experience tasting the cacao fruit pulp and bits of the cacao. After the cacao farm tour you will pedal over to our Monkey Sanctuary where you’ll get to see over 30 spider monkeys in their natural habitat. They will happily accept bananas from visitors and make for a wonderful experience. After mokeying around, you’ll bike through the forest along the edge of a large pond on the property where you may or may not get to observe a crocodile in it’s natural habitat.

Discover the beauty of the Bay of Jiquilisco in our Pontoon. Tour different parts of the Bay. Each tour varies in prices and navigation time. You will get an hour at the destination for bathing, relaxing and taking pictures. An additional hour at the destination has a cost of $56.00. All our prices include tax (13%), they do not include gratuity. Please note that we offer additional packages and tours and that these can be tailored to your needs. Enjoy a pleasant ride in our Panga boats and discover the many deserted islands in the Bay of Jiquilisco. Our boat tours take approximately 30 minutes to each island, you can choose from – Isla Pajarito, Las Elenas or La Pirraya. Once you reach the beach, bathe and swim in the bay’s calm and warm waters. We will bring a big umbrella if the sun is too harsh, chairs for resting and best of all… we can prepare a cooler with your favorite beverages for an additional charge.
